Clubs - Deben Water Sports Centre

The centre does not provide a club you can join to use the facilities of the centre.

However the following organisations use the centre and / or waterfront and take new members. Please contact them if you are interested in joining them.

Deben Canoe Club - Adults
The Deben Canoe Club (DCC) runs through out the year and provides pool and river sessions together with occasional trips. They meet on Thursday’s starting at 6.30pm and finish around 9.00pm (depending on the time of  year). Pool sessions are held on alternate Saturdays from 6.00pm to 7.00pm at Deben Swimming Pool. Deben Canoe Club - Youth Section
The ethos of the youth section is to provide safe, fun water based activities for young people aged 10 or above. The group meets May to September every Wednesday evening: 18.30 – 8.30pm.

Deben Yacht Club is a thriving and active club in the upper reaches of the River Deben.

Suffolk Open Canoe Group

Suffolk Schools
A number of local high schools have use the centre for ‘Activities Week’.

Woodbridge Model Boat Club
The club meets regularly at the pond for yacht racing on Saturday and Tuesday mornings. Wednesday mornings are open to all types of models including steam, and electric power. Unfortunately I C engines are not allowed on our small pond.

Social events are staged throughout the year
